Overview
Our ScaleCast moulds shown here are designed to be used with the others we have added to the NS range. These bring a series of new range of elements so you may extend your building capabilities and add a whole series of variations. from building houses to building churches there are endless possibilities. You can also add to your collection as we bring out new building plans and add new moulds to the range. Our Range is 1:76 scale OO Gauge and is aimed at the model railway enthusiast, however many of our members just love making model buildings so you do not need to have a model train layout to enjoy these amazing buildings. |
Our OO Gauge silicone moulds may be used for casting parts in Plaster (Stone) or Resin. You can make as many as you want for you railway layout or diorama.
For casting with plaster we recommend Herculite 2 that can be purchased on ebay or other outlets and we have a series of videos showing the casting process.
For casting in resin, we can only recommend polyurethane resins as these have been fully tested on all our moulds. We recommend fast cast resin as you can make your parts very quickly, however slow cast resin works just as well and may be a better choice if you are new to the process and you will have a longer working time so in effect can pour many moulds in a single session. Again we have videos on our channel showing the process.
